Variant Groups
Type (Behavior at Upgrade, Transport) |
Modification |
Description of Function |
Variant groups are an extension of standard variants. Variant groups are used when standard variants are not sufficient. For example, when: ● Different users or user groups are to work with different variants ● Some users are to execute a transaction with different variants |
Restrictions |
● Only one group can be active at any one time. It is not possible to work with different variant groups in different sessions. You need to restart applications after changing group. ● Due to the naming convention (<name of the variant group><name of the transaction code>), it is not possible to use the same variant for different transactions. You can, however, assign the same screen variants to different transaction variants. ● Otherwise, the same restrictions as for other transaction variants apply. |
