Procedure documentation Editing Language-Specific Texts  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can create language-specific texts in some input fields in the object editor. The Description field is language-specific for all object types. Which other input fields are language-specific depends on the object type.

Example

For example, in the Description column in the data type editor, the input fields for the individual elements of the data type are language-specific.

Procedure

If you want to edit a language-specific text, first set the relevant language as the original language. To do this, proceed as follows:

...

       1.      Open the object for which you want to create a language-specific text, and switch to change mode.

       2.      In the menu bar of the object editor, choose Properties (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text).

       3.      In the Object Properties dialog box, select the required language from the dropdown listbox for the Original Language field.

       4.      Choose OK

You can now edit the text field.

If you want to enter or edit text in another language, repeat steps 2 to 4, setting the required language as the original language.
