Importing External Services at
Runtime
1. Open the Service Registry at http://<host>:<port>/caf → Administrative tools → External Service Configuration.
2. Choose Import New Service.
3. Select the service type (RFC or WS) you want to configure and depending on your choice, follow the instruction below:
Service Type: SAP Remote Function Call
a. In Mode of Remote Function Call, select a value from the drop-down list:

RFC destinations via SLD – to import a service from the System
Landscape Directory of SAP NetWeaver. For more information, see
System Landscape
Directory.
■ Self-defined RFC destinations – to import a service by entering full information about it.
■ RFC destinations via endpoint – to import one of the previous service types using an endpoint.
b. Enter the data as described in the tables below, depending on your choice (RFC or WS):

4. Choose Next.
A list of the available external service operations opens. For each service operation (method) you can specify different configuration for connecting. To do this, select the operation and enter the relevant data in the Method Configuration pane.
5. Choose Import.
