Assigning Constants 

Procedure

...

       1.      From the list of steps, choose Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules.
A screen appears.

       2.      Position the cursor on the corresponding field.

       3.      Choose Constant.
A dialog box appears.

       4.      Either select a constant from the input help or enter a value/text.

       5.      Choose Enter.

 

Result

The SAP field has a definite value assigned to it. The same result can be achieved by assigning a fixed value. The definite value, however, is not defined in this case before the Migration Customizing is carried out. In addition, the fixed values are part of the reusable rules and thus apply to all objects of a project.
