Changing the Contents of the Start Page 

Use

You can change the contents of the start page of the Budget Planning for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Business Planning and Simulation ® Web Interface Builder ® Customizing in the BW-BPS system.

       2.      Then choose Web Interface Builder Springen -> MIME Objekte.

       3.      In the dialog box, select the file mcbHomePage.txt.

To display another file on the start page, you must replace the string mcbWelcome.htm wit the complete path of the new file.. You must retain the dollar sign as the “delimiter“ and you must also retain the first row.

To display a file such as myDocument.doc, which is in the folder myPublicFolder on a computer myComputer, the entry must look like the following:

$HomePage$

$\\myComputer\myPublicFolder\myDocument.doc$

The browser opens documents of category.htm and .txt directly when the planning application is started. For .pdf documents and Microsoft Office documents, the Internet Explorer uses plug-ins that are installed on the client’s Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat Reader.

       4.      You can save the document as .html and then enter the start .html file in the mcbHomePage.txt.
