Installing the .NET Introscope Agent

Install the .NET Introscope agent on the application-service node in an SAP Mobile Platform Server cluster.

Prerequisites

Install Introscope Enterprise Manager.
Download the files attached to SAP Note 2200696 – Wily Introscope Agent for MBO Runtime 3.0.

Context

These instructions are valid for Wily Introscope Agent version 9.1.5 running with SAP Mobile Platform 3.0 SP07 and later.

Procedure

Navigate to the SAP Service Marketplace Software Download Center at https://support.sap.com/swdc
In the left pane, select Support Packages and Patches Browse Download Catalog , then select SAP Technology Components SAP Solution Manager SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Entry by Component Agents for Managed System .
Select WILY INTRO AGT 9 .NET Windows on x64 64bit , and select the Introscope .NET agent.
Stop the server.
Under <SMP_HOME>\MR30, create a directory called "IntroscopeAgent" at the same level as the Servers directory.
Install the .NET agent:
1. Copy these files to the IntroscopeAgent directory:
  - IntroscopeDotNetAgentInstall64_9.1.5.0.exe
  - IntroscopeAgent.profile.dotnet (in dotnet.zip)
  - Sybase_SUP_net.pbd (in dotnet.zip)
  - install-agents.bat
2. On the command line, run:
```
install-agents.bat dotnet
```
3. Start the server.
  
  Note After you install the .NET agent, start or restart SAP Mobile Platform Server by either using the desktop shortcut or running start-mobile-services.bat on the command line. Do not start SAP Mobile Platform Server services directly.
4. To configure the .NET agent, on the command line, run:
```
install-agents.bat configuredotnet
```
5. Run:
```
setx Cor_Enable_Profiling 0x1 /m
```
Set the Enterprise Manager host and port for the .NET agent:
1. Edit the .NET profile in the <SMP_HOME>\MR30\IntroscopeAgent\dotNet\wily\IntroscopeAgent.profile file.
2. Set the value of the introscope.agent.enterprisemanager.transport.tcp.host.DEFAULT property to the IP address of the EM host.
3. Set the value of the introscope.agent.enterprisemanager.transport.tcp.port.DEFAULT property to the EM port number.
4. Restart the server.
(Optional) To disable the agent, run:
```
setx Cor_Enable_Profiling 0x0 /m
```
(Optional) To reenable the agent after disabling it, run:
```
setx Cor_Enable_Profiling 0x1 /m
```
