Configuring Technical MonitoringLocate this document in the navigation structure

Configure technical availability monitoring for SAP Mobile Platform. You can use the monitoring template "SAP Mobile Platform 3.0" as is, or modify it.

Context

Define the custom monitoring template that SAP Solution Manager uses to monitor the SAP Mobile Platform landscape. The monitoring template identifies agents, metrics, and the user name and password used by Diagnostic Agents to upload monitoring data.

The procedures that follow do not replace Solution Manager documentation, but provide some context while integrating SAP Mobile Platform with Solution Manager. The screen shots are representative only, and may not reflect your user interface (for example, any references to Sybase Unwired Platform denote SAP Mobile Platform).

    Define a custom monitoring template for SAP Mobile Platform.
  2. Defining the Availability Metric for SAP Mobile Platform Servers
    Define the availability metric for the template.
  3. Assigning the Template to the SAP Mobile Platform Servers
    Assign the custom monitoring template to the SAP Mobile Platform servers.
  4. Creating User and Password for Diagnostic Agents
    Create the user and password, which are used for authentication, for the diagnostics agents assigned to the SAP Mobile Platform servers.
