Creating a Data Model By Importing DDIC StructuresLocate this document in the navigation structure

You can leverage existing ABAP data dictionary (DDIC) structures, BOR objects, and RFC interfaces to create data model objects such as entity types. 


  1. In your created project, right-click Data Model and select Start of the navigation path Import Next navigation step DDIC Structure End of the navigation path.

  2. For the ABAP Structure, enter BAPI_EPM_BP_HEADER and press Enter.
    You see a list of fields and properties contained with the structure.
  3. For Object Name, replace BapiEpmBpHeader with BusinessPartner.
  4. Make the BP_ID property a key field by selecting Key in the corresponding Usage column.

  5. Click the Continue icon .
    You see the BusinessPartner Entity Type created within the Data Model of your project.

  6. Repeat steps 1-5 to import DDIC structures for the SalesOrder and SalesOrderItem entities:
    • SalesOrder
      • ABAP Structure: BAPI_EPM_SO_HEADER
      • Object Name: SalesOrder
      • Key field: SO_ID
    • SalesOrderItem
      • ABAP Structure: BAPI_EPM_SO_ITEM
      • Object Name: SalesOrderItem
      • Key field: SO_ID,SO_ITEM_POS
  7. Save your project.
