Procedure

Typical Proceeding: Creating Multiple Work Items Automatically
  1. In the Solution Documentation view, choose the List view.

  2. Drill down to the node (Libraries, for example) for which TBOMs are to be created, rerecorded, or enhanced.

  3. Specify filter attributes (Executable TBOM Type = Semi-Dynamic and Executable TBOM Status = Missing, for example).

  4. Select one or more objects.

  5. In the context menu, choose Create TBOM Work Items.

  6. Assign the business expert, as described below.

Creating a Rerecording Task From a TBOM

Create a single work item if a specific TBOM is obsolete or needs to be enhanced (if a transaction is performed across multiple systems, or in multiple runs, for example).

  1. In the Solution Documentation view, drill down to the TBOM, and choose its name to open it.

The Technical Bill of Material view opens.

  2. Under Work Item, choose Create TBOM Recording Work Item.

You go to the Create TBOM Recording Work Items view.

  3. Assign the business expert as described below.

Assigning the Business Expert
  1. In the BP Expert column, assign the business process expert who is to record the TBOMs, for all selected rows. You can:

    • Enter the data directly in the corresponding row in the table.

      Or

    • To process all selected rows at once: Choose Mass Change, and enter the data in the Assign User & System Role - Mass Change dialog.

  2. If change request management is enabled for a branch of the solution, in the Change Document column, assign a change document to the work item. (To enable it, open a solution and branch in the Solution Administration (transaction SOLADM). On the Properties tab, edit the branch settings.)

If there is no change document for the business process expert, ensure that the change manager assigns a change document to the business process expert's business partner. For more information, see Change Request Management.

  3. If a TBOM already exist, in the Action column, choose Rerecord or Enhance, depending on the use case.

  4. Optional: Add a comment (execution instructions, for example).

  5. Choose Check.

The system checks whether you have specified a business process expert for each selected entry, whether the business process expert has an e-mail address, and whether there is both a system user and a business partner for the business process expert. The e-mail address, system user and business partner for the quality expert are also checked.

To create additional business process expert users, do the following:

    1. In the SAP Solution Manager Configuration work center, choose Start of the navigation path Test Management Next navigation step Business Process Change Analyzer End of the navigation path.

    2. In the Start of the navigation path BPCA Preparation Next navigation step TBOM Work Items End of the navigation path step, perform the Create Business Process Expert User activity.

  6. Choose Create Work Items.

The system creates a TBOM recording work item for each entry selected.

Result

The business process expert and quality expert are informed by e-mail, and can access the recording task in the Test Management work center, in the TBOM Worklist view. They can access their TBOM work list via the links in the e-mails.
