You can be notified by the E2E Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure when alerts occur. You can make the settings for sending notifications, on the following levels:

Notification settings on a more specific level overwrite those on a more general level.
This procedure explains how you can edit the notification settings. The possible settings are almost the same on all levels.

This procedure is in the Using Templates process. The settings which you make for a managed object in this procedure are only applied when you assign and activate its template, as described in Using Templates.
In the transaction SU01, you have checked the following prerequisites for user SOLMAN_BTC
:
The user has a valid E-Mail ID
The user has the role SAP_NOTIF_ADMIN
.
To adjust the notification settings, proceed as follows:
Go to the Solution Manager Configuration
(transaction SOLMAN_SETUP) step in the table above, for the level on which you want to make settings.
Go to change mode, and ensure that you are in the following tab, depending on the level:

In the drop-down list Automatic Notification

You can also copy the general level settings on template and alert type levels. This is the default setting.
If you have activated the automatic notification, go to the Notifications
tab, to make detailed notification setings:
To maintain recipients in Notification Management, choose Maintain Global Recipients
, and make your changes there.
If the recipients have been maintained in Notification Management, and you want to maintain recipient lists, choose Maintain Recipient Lists
, and make your changes there.
To add the recipient or recipient list to the default settings, choose Add
, and make your changes there.
In the dropdown list Send Notification for
, you can decide for which alerts colors a notification should be created.
In the input field Sender
, you can choose which ABAP user should send the notification.
In the Advanced Settings
, you can choose whether another notification should be sent if the alert rating switches back to green. For details, see the quick help of the flag.

You can make the notification settings, depending on the Work Mode, on template and alert type levels. Go to Expert Mode
