Procedure documentationIdentifying Configuration Store Upload Errors

CCDB administration provides an overview of the status of all technical systems known to the CCDB, enabling you to detect, analyze, and handle upload errors.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP Solution Manager Administration work center, start CCDB administration:

    • To display the status of all technical systems known to the CCDB, start the application via the Infrastructure view, and then choose the Technical Systems tab.

    • To display the status of selected technical systems, start the application via the Landscape view. You can use existing queries to select systems.

  2. The technical system overview is displayed.

Each line of the technical system overview represents the status of a technical system in the CCDB:

    • Overall status of technical system

If there is no technical problem, system downtime, or similar issue, a green light is displayed in the overall status column. A red light indicates that there is a problem with one or more configuration stores or extractors.

      Note Note

The overall status may be red even when all configuration stores are correct. For example, if an extractor ends incorrectly, the status will be red because it is not known whether the configuration stores are complete.

      End of the note.
    • Configuration stores grouped by status

The application displays the total number of configuration stores for the system and groups them by status. You can click on the numbers to display the stores and view store details.

      Note Note

The status Not relevant is used for stores that are only available internally, but are no longer visible to external applications such as Change Reporting and Change Analysis.

      End of the note.
    • Extractors grouped by status

The application displays the total number of CCDB extractors for the system and groups them by status. You can click the numbers to display the Extractor Framework log viewer.

For more information about identifying the cause of extractor errors, see Identify Extractor Errors.

  3. After you identify and handle the problem, you can manually trigger the extractors for the selected technical system.

The Extractor Framework will process these extractors as soon as possible. It may take several minutes for the extractors to be executed, or execution may be delayed because of other extractors with higher priority.

You can monitor extractor execution by going to the Extractor Framework log viewer and then choosing Refresh. When extractor execution is complete, you can return to the technical system overview and choose Refresh.

    Note Note

Triggering extractors manually skips the automatic extractor run in the evening. The next automatic run will be triggered the next day.

    End of the note.
