When a cycle comes to an end, you can start a new one so that the same QGM scenario can continue to be used.

Procedure

To work with cycles, proceed as follows:

Creating a Cycle

  1. On the Quality Gate Management Overview screen, select your scenario and choose Start of the navigation path Actions Next navigation step Set Up Cycle End of the navigation path.

    The cycle dialog box appears in which you can create or delete cycles.

  2. Choose the Create Cycle pushbutton and enter a name for the cycle.

  3. Enter dates for each of the quality gates and milestones.

    Note Note

    For the new cycle, the first milestone name is Deploy to Scope and not Start of Scope. The date for the Deploy to Scope milestone is set to the End of Deployment date from the previous cycle.

  4. If necessary, choose Add Milestone to add milestone dates.

  5. You can also upload templates or files for a milestone that is defined as a quality gate.

  6. When you have finished, choose Save to create the cycle.

Deleting a Cycle

  1. To delete a cycle, choose Start of the navigation path Actions Next navigation step Set up Cycle End of the navigation path to open the cycle dialog box .

  2. Select the cycle that you want to delete and choose Delete Cycle.

  3. Confirm that you want to delete the cycle.

    The cycle is deleted and is no longer displayed in the list.

Note Note

You cannot delete a cycle if its status is Active.
