The following functions are available when working with transport requests:

  • Maintain detailed information for a transport request

  • Create tasks for developers in a transport request

  • Release a transport request

  • Delete an empty transport request

  • Assign a transport request

  • Decouple a transport request

Prerequisites

You have created a transport request based on a change. For more information, see Creating and Releasing Transport Requests.

Procedure

Maintaining a Transport Request

If you want to change the description or the owner of the transport request, choose Start of the navigation path Actions... Next navigation step Maintain Transport Request Detail End of the navigation path. You can then change the data as required.

Creating a Task in a Transport Request

If you want to create tasks for developers within a transport request, choose Start of the navigation path Actions... Next navigation step Maintain Transport Request Task End of the navigation path. The dialog box that appears shows the existing tasks in the upper table, and allows you to enter the names of the task owners in the lower table.

Releasing a Transport Request
  1. Find the transport request with the status Changeable from the list and choose Start of the navigation path Actions... Next navigation step Release Transport Request End of the navigation path.

  2. Select the transport requests that you want to release.

  3. Specify when you want the transport requests to be released. You can choose to release them immediately or you can enter a date on which the release is to take place.

  4. Click Release to release the transport requests or confirm the date on which the release is to take place.

Note Note

If your scenario is cCTS-enabled, you cannot release transport requests from the transport request table. In this case, all of the transport requests must be released together.

If your scenario is not cCTS-enabled, you can release transport requests from the transport request table and select individual transport requests for release at change or scenario level.

Deleting a Transport Request
  1. Select a specific transport request with the status Changeable from the list and choose Start of the navigation path  Actions... Next navigation step Delete Transport Request End of the navigation path.

  2. Confirm that you want to delete the selected transport request.

You can only delete empty transport requests.
