Function documentationTest Management Work Center

This work center is the central access to all functions for preparing, creating, managing, and evaluating test plans.

Furthermore, you can use the Business Process Change Analyzer in this work center to perform change influence analyses, and generate tailored test plans from the results, and the Scope and Effort Analyzer to calculate the efforts to test and install new software.

Prerequisites

You are authorized for this work center. For more information, see Using the Work Center.

Features

Overview

Here, according to your role as test organizer or tester, you have direct access to tailored lists for the main activities (test management, test execution, Business Process Change Analyzer).

Solution Documentation

Here, a report is available that enables you to get an overview of a selected solution hierarchy and offers several navigation paths to it. For more information, see Preparation: Creating Technical Bills of Material (TBOMs).

TBOM Worklist

Display and edit TBOM recording tasks as business expert or tester. TBOMs are required for the Business Process Change Analyzer to perform change analyses. For more information, see TBOM Worklist.

Business Process Change Analyzer

Changes to the system, for example support packages, customer developments or add-on installations, can affect different business processes. To ensure that the business processes still work correctly after such a change, identify and test the affected business processes or parts thereof. For more information, see Business Process Change Analyzer.

Scope and Effort Analyzer

Estimate the development and test efforts for planned EHP (enhancement package) or SP (support package) maintenance projects in the Scope and Effort Analyzer. For more information, see Scope and Effort Analyzer.

Test Plan Management

As a test organizer, use this view to manage test plans and test packages, for example, assign testers to test packages and define attachments. For more information, see Test Plan Management.

You can use links to process your test plan structure. You can proceed in the same way as when linking structure elements in the solution (see Solution Documentation). If you have created links between structure nodes in the project structure or solution structure, the test plan displays the test cases for the linked nodes in the relevant place in the solution documentation.

Tester Worklist

Access all test cases assigned to you as a tester. For more information, see Tester Worklist.

Executions

Display the following information:

  • Logs: Here, you have access to execution logs of automated test cases.

  • Jobs: Information about the background jobs with which you scheduled automatic test cases:

    • Job Status: Did the job run?

    • Test Status: What was the result?

    • Log ID: ID of the test package which you have assigned to a job, as test coordinator

    • Job Name: Link to job execution details

For more information, see Executions.

Test Repository

The test repository gives you access to the Test Composition Environment, where you can create and edit automated test cases. For more information, see Test Repository.

Analytics

This is where you have access to reports related to test management. For more information, see Analytics.

Administration

Make various basic settings. For more information, see Administration.
