To monitor task schedules, task logs and their status, and run tasks for related systems, define initial settings for the system administration environment.

SAP delivers, for example, component-specific task templates for the session with inactive task frequencies. You can change these inactive task frequencies to the SAP default task frequencies, or your own settings.

Prerequisites

  • You have created your solution landscape.

  • You have set up the RFC connections between SAP Solution Manager and the managed systems in your solution landscape.

  • You have authorization for the administration function ADM, authorization object: S_SAA_ADMI to display and edit the General Session Customizing and Global Customizing tasks.

Activities

  1. In the Technical Administration work center, under Related Links, choose Start of the navigation path Central System Administration Next navigation step Task Inbox End of the navigation path.

    The Task Inbox displays the open tasks for your systems.

    Note Note

    If you have not yet initially set up tasks for a system, or if the system does not currently have any open tasks, a link labeled No open task for system <system> is displayed. Click this link to start the Central System Administration session for the system.
