Record dynamic TBOMs by executing manual test cases.
Recommendation
Test cases are often performed after implementing changes. As the existing TBOMs may no longer be up-to-date after changes, it is useful to combine the creation of TBOMs with performing the test cases.
In this case, give the testers the instructions below.
You have created a solution documentation.
You have assigned an executable entity to the relevant node.
You have created a manual test case.
In the solution documentation, you have
assigned the manual test case to the same solution documentation branch, on the Elements of <executable name>
tab page
specified the executable entity as test object:
In the context menu of the test case, choose Assign Executables
.
The system displays all executables the test case can be applied to. If the test case is on business process level, for example, you can assign all executables related to the process and its subnodes, for example business process steps.
In the Tested
column, specify the executables to be tested. By default, you choose all executables.
You have created a test plan or package containing manual test cases, for the solution. The manual test case is in this test plan or package. For more information, see Creating and Editing Test Plans.
You are assigned to the test package, as tester.
As tester, the user parameter AGS_BPCA_TB_FR_TWKL
has the value X
(upper case) for your user.
In SAP GUI, choose
.On the Parameters
tab page, add the user parameter and value.
In the Test Management
work center, choose the Tester Worklist
view.
Choose the test package containing the manual test case.
Select the test case and choose Run
.
You go to the Manual Test Case Execution
screen.
In the TBOM Trace
field, choose Create
.
Note
The TBOM Trace
field is displayed only if the user parameter AGS_BPCA_TB_FR_TWKL
has the value X
.
In the Executables
list, specify the executables for which TBOMs are to be recorded.
Display the test case.
Choose Start Test Execution
.
The Run Test
dialog box appears.
Check the test case, to specify
the paths for which the TBOMs are to be recorded if multiple executable reference paths are displayed
whether the TBOMs are to be rerecorded (default), or whether a transaction is executed by taking different paths through it (TBOM run option Enhance
)
For more information, see Recording a Dynamic TBOM In Multiple Runs.
Choose OK
to confirm.
The Run Test
dialog box appears.
Choose OK
to confirm.
The system starts the application, and records the TBOM at the same time.
Choose Start Recording
.
Execute the test case.
Stop the TBOM recording.
In the Manual Test Case Execution
screen, the message TBOM created successfully
, is displayed.
You have performed the manual test case, and recorded a TBOM at the same time.
