The integrated 3D City Model provides a graphical overview of the current custom code situation in the selected systems. The city model is based on 3 + 1 dimensions: the three dimensions of the graph (quantity, criticality, and severity) plus either quality or usage information displayed in the tables. You can use this overview to monitor your custom developments and as a basis to decide whether further custom code management activities are necessary.
You have set up and scheduled the data collectors as part of the Custom Code Management scenario of SAP Solution Manager Configuration (transaction SOLMAN_SETUP
).
To display the 3D City Model, you need SAP NetWeaver Business Client 4.0 together with either Firefox or Internet Explorer 10 or higher.
The graph is derived from BW InfoCubes, which are filled by data collectors scheduled as part of the Custom Code Management scenario of SAP Solution Manager Configuration. The graph visualizes the following three dimensions:
Severity
: Indicates how far the objects differ from the SAP standard. The severity level is based on the CCLM attribute SAPSeverity
The following severity levels are available:
SAPSeverity=1
Enhancements
Coding using released interfaces and frameworks
SAPSeverity=3
Modifications
Changed SAP objects
SAPSeverity=5
Custom Code
Independently developed custom objects
Criticality
: Indicates how critical your custom developments are. This criticality rating is defined by the factors specified in the Business Criticality Setup
step in the Custom Code Management scenario of SAP Solution Manager Configuration. The value is stored in the CCLM attribute SAPCriticality
.
SAPCriticality=1
: Low Criticality
SAPCriticality=5
: High Criticality
Quantity
: The number of objects in the selected systems.
The additional dimension is displayed in the tables on the right. You can switch between usage information and quality information.
The total number of the Custom Code, Modification, and Enhancement objects in the selected systems is displayed above the graph, along with the trend.
To display the status of your custom developments on a previous date, you can select a date on the Change History
bar.
You can view either quality information or usage information as the fourth dimension:
In the Usage
view, the table displays the number of used or unused objects.
To get detailed information about specific parts of the city model, you can choose a bar or a severity row. An additional bar chart displays the quality and usage statistics for the selected bar or row only.
In the Quality
view, you can access the quality cockpit to monitor quality projects in managed systems. For more information about the quality cockpit, see Quality.
You can navigate directly to the decommissioning cockpit to schedule redundant objects for decommissioning. From the Usage
view, choose Decommissioning Cockpit
.
