In your project management, you can use the Business Context Viewer (BCV) in the side panel, to display additional information on a project and its tasks.

It provides detailed information about the status of a business transaction assigned to a task. You can analyze the information and get more insights into the progress of a project.

In many cases, a task that is assigned to a business transaction has follow-up documents (change documents) that need to be handled, to complete the transaction.

A status overview chart shows all change documents related to the business transaction of Change Request Management assigned to the task. Two types of charts are offered: a pie chart and a column chart.

Prerequisites

In the transaction for role maintenance (PFCG), you need a role from the group SAP_BCV_*, depending on your role, for example the BCV user role SAP_BCV_USER.

You have activated the /BCV/MAIN business function in Switch Framework Customizing (transaction SFW5).

Activities

Access projects in SAP Solution Manager from the launchpad (transaction SM_WORKCENTER), under Start of the navigation path Projects and Process Management Next navigation step My Projects End of the navigation path.

Select a project. In the editor for projects, choose Additional information, in the top right corner.
