The Landscape View tab page provides a visual overview of the quality gates for a scenario together with the systems and the transport paths. You can also see the status of your software distribution.

Integration

Landscape View with Multiple System Roles

Quality gate management supports multiple system roles within the same track. However, you must ensure that your quality gates are correctly assigned to system roles. Otherwise, transport functions may be affected. To get the best use from the landscape view, we recommend that you use different system roles even if the systems have a similar function. For example, if you have multiple development systems in your transport track, we recommend that you use the system roles “DEV1”, “DEV2”, and so on. This ensures that the quality gates and phase control function smoothly.

Features

You can drag the transport landscape to navigate around it more easily, and you can zoom in and out by using the mouse wheel. Switching to full-screen mode enables you to see your landscape in more detail.

You can use the search function to find specific systems in your landscape. The advanced search, which is set by default, allows you to restrict your search to a specific system, quality gate, or phase. This search mode also suggests keywords that you may wish to find. If you deactivate the advanced search, you can enter any text that the system then looks for in the transport landscape. For example, you could enter missing to find any systems with missing transports.

Each of the systems in your transport landscape is shown as a box that is made up of two main parts: the legend area and the info area.

Legend Area

The legend area is shown on the left of each box and contains an icon that indicates the system type, the system ID, and the cluster name of the central change and transport system (if you have enabled it). By clicking anywhere in this area, you can access a context menu that enables you to manage transport requests and enable or disable transport locks.

For more information, see Transport of Changes and Enabling and Disabling Import Locks.

Info Area

The info area is shown on the right of each box and contains the system role, the transport status, and the downgrade protection conflict status. You can click the information here to access further details, for example, about missing transports, risks, or downgrade protection checks.
