Purpose

You use the database tool Web SQL Studio (Web SQL) to display and change data in a database instance using SQL statements. You can use Web SQL Studio to access database instances on your local computer and on remote computers.

Web SQL Studio is a web application and can be used on all supported operating systems.

Implementation Considerations

Web SQL Studio is included in the MaxDB software. For information on where to get the MaxDB software and how to install it, see Download; and in the Installation Manual, see Configuring Web SQL / WebDAV.

Integration

You can use Web SQL Studio to access WebDAV repositories. See the documentation for WebDAV.

Features

For information about the user interface, see Screen Areas in Web SQL Studio.

Note

The database tools SQL Studio (GUI) and SQLCLI have features similar to those of Web SQL Studio; however, they use a different user interface.

Web SQL Studio provides the following functions, among others:

Calling Web SQL Studio

Logging on to a Database Instance

Executing SQL Statements

Opening WebDAV Repositories

Saving SQL Statements

Editing Stored SQL Statements

Displaying the Software Version of Web SQL Studio

Closing Web SQL Studio
