Procedure documentationActivating the E-Mail Function in SAP Solution Manager


If you perform a semi-automated service, the system collects the data required by the analysis, in a preparation session. This preparation session is performed in a guided procedure. A link to this guided procedure is provided via e-mail to the account contact. You can also define one or more recipients to receive a service session report preview as HTML version via e-mail. For both features ensure that the e-mail function in SAP Solution Manager is active.


SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP05 or higher (automatic and semi-automatic service sessions):
  1. In the SAP Solution Manager Configuration work center, choose the System Preparation scenario.

  2. In the Configure Connectivity step, perform the Configure SAPConnect activity.

SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP 27 or higher (only automatic service sessions):

In Customizing for SAP Solution Manager, choose Start of the navigation path SAP Solution Manager Next navigation step Cross-Scenario Settings Next navigation step Automatic E-Mail Next navigation step Set-Up SAPconnect End of the navigation path.
