Checking the Translation Package 

Use

This procedure checks the quality of the target language files or the entire translation package.

Prerequisites

You have created and translated a translation package.

If you have translated a translation package with the TRADOS Translator's Workbench, the target language files must be cleaned up.

Procedure

·        To check the target language file open in Microsoft Word, choose Check.

The following checks are started:

¡        Check the title length

¡        Check if the graphics are embedded correctly (graphics must be embedded in the document.)

¡        Check that the indicator Put over text is not activated

¡        Check that all the hyperlinks that exist in the original language document are defined and correct

¡        Check that there are no TRADOS markers in the cleaned up document

¡        Report on inconsistencies

¡        Write messages in the log SapTrExt.log in the directory of the translation package

·        To check all the target language files of a translation package, choose Check Package.

In addition to the above checks, the KXF file is compared with the contents of the translation package.

Result

The target language file or translation package was checked.
