You create Solutions to use in the SAP Solution Manager.
You are authorized to create and process solutions. For further information, see the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide on SAP Service Marketplace under .
You use the System Monitoring
work center.
Choose the Create Solution
link in the Set-Up
view in the work center.
Enter a name for your solution, and choose a language.
Flag the leading system role for your solution.
You can edit the list of system roles:
Add other system roles: Choose Select System Roles
and select and copy entries.
Change the sequence of the entries: Select a row, and choose Up
or Down
.
Remove entry: Select rows and choose Remove
.
Save your solution.
You can assign logical components to your solution in the Solution Landscape
tab, as follows:
Insert existing logical component
Choose Insert Existing Logical Component
. You go to the Select Logical Component
screen.
Enter the name of the component in the Logical Component
field, or select from the value help. You restrict the selection of logical components in the value help, by selecting a product version, product instance, or product system.
Confirm.
Assign technical systems to your logical component. Choose the value help in the system role column, select a technical system, and copy.
Save the logical component, if you are prompted to do so.
Create new logical component
Choose Create New Logical Component
. You can:
create logical components from a product version and/or product instance
Enter a name for the logical component, and choose a product version and/or product instance from the value help.
Assign technical systems to your logical component. Choose the value help in the system role column, select a technical system, and copy.
Create logical components from technical systems
Enter a name for the logical component.
Choose the system type from the value help for the leading system role column, and confirm. You go to the Technical System Value Help
screen.
Choose a technical system. If you have selected an ABAP system, expand the node and select the system client.
Confirm. The technical system product instance and product version are passed automatically. If there are several product instances or product versions, choose from the value help.
Assign other technical systems in system roles to your logical component. Only relevant technical systems are in the value help.
Save the logical component, if you are prompted to do so.
Save the solution.
