You can also choose from among list views which you have specified yourself. You can define queries and set filters to select data.

You can additionally filter the display of previous status values, for example, to show inactive alerts, or alerts in the last 24 hours.

Process Alerts

Confirm processing of an alert

You can confirm alerts in the following ways:

Manual Confirmation: To hide an alert permanently, e.g. after it has been processed, select the alert and choose Confirm.

You can confirm several alerts at the same time.

Automatic Confirmation: When an incident, which is created automatically, is confirmed, the associated alert gets confirmed automatically. You can configure the same in Template Maintenance at all levels (Template, Alerts, and Managed Object), by selecting the option Incident Confirmation closes Alert.

When a manual incident is confirmed, the associated alert gets confirmed automatically. To achieve the same, global configuration has to be set up, by maintaining the CONFALERTONMANINCCONF param_key in table ACGENERICCUSTOM to 'X’.

Also, when the current rating of the alert turns Green, the alert type including all its groups gets confirmed automatically. To achieve the same, set the flag Automatic Alert Confirmation to active either at the Default Settings sub-step or template/alert level on Template Maintenance step.

Create support message

You can create a support message from one or more alerts. Select an alert and choose Create Message. The system passes the relevant information automatically. Complete the message with the required entries.

When you have created the message, the alerts are no longer displayed.

For further information about using support messages, see IT Service Management.
