You can check which objects are assigned to your analysis project. Identify objects which are used frequently, and are not yet assigned to check steps in an analysis project, and check whether it is meaningful to assign them to your analysis project.
The objects in the Analysis
tab are based on the check sequences and check steps of an analysis assigned to the analysis structure. The objects displayed in the Not in Analysis
tab were not analyzed.
Note
The object usage data displayed in the Results
column are, for example, from the following sources, depending on the object type:
For transactions, reports, and function modules (RFC), the workload statistics data is displayed, which is usually provided by SAP EarlyWatch Alert (EWA).
For objects covered by E2E Diagnostics, the use data from the SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse is used.
For SQL check steps and BadIs, the RFC connections for Change Management are used.
You have called the Analysis Results.
You have chosen the Object Usage
tab.
On the Object Usage
tab, you have the following options:
Under Analysis
, you show the objects which are assigned to your analysis project. You can call up a where-used list and check where an object is used in the analysis structure.
Under Not in Analysis
, you show the objects which are not yet assigned to your analysis project.
Note
Only information for used objects is passed. Objects in managed systems that are not used in the analyzed period, are not passed, and therefore have no designated origin.
Information about customer objects that are not used, is only displayed if you selected the option to get object types, when you created the analysis. See Create Analysis for further information.
Note
Customer programs can be shown as not used (Results
column has the value 0
), although they are called in the system used. This is because the workload statistics use data is only called for programs which are called directly (i.e.
not by other programs).
To include programs in the workload statistics, which are not called directly, these programs must be adjusted. You may have to create a support message in component BC-CCM-MON-TUN.
Alternatively, you can use the usage data of usage procedure logging (UPL). For more information, see Creating Check Steps for Objects Recorded by Usage Procedure Logging.
The Rules Database
column shows whether the object is already assigned to a check step.
Under Graphic, you can display the most frequently used objects in a graphical overview.
The Summary Object Report
sorts objects by frequency of use.
The Analysis Background Information
shows the distribution and frequency of use of objects, for example by logical component or object type. You get information about the type of the objects analyzed.
Example
Your analysis checks a business process which is based on function modules (RFC). If the background information is mainly transactions, check steps may be missing in your analysis.
To put objects in the rule database, in the Tab Not in Analysis
tab, select the objects, and choose Add to Rule Database
.
Note
When copying the object to the rule database, you get a message informing you that a check step has been created or that the object is already in the rule database.
To determine where a specific object is used in the analysis structure, use the where-used list.. To do so, select object type of the Analysis
tab page, and choose Usage
. To jump to the relevant
node in the analysis structure, choose the node name.
