This procedure processes Technical Monitoring problems in the SAP Solution Manager landscape defined in LMDB.
You have verified the templates if you want to generate reports and send notifications by SMS and e-mail.
Select the alert.
Choose Postponement
.
To delay an alert so that it does not appear in the Alert Inbox for a time, choose Postpone
.
In the Select the Postponement Time
window, postpone the alert until a time, or for a duration.
Note
The postponed alerts appear in the list of aggregated alerts, when their postponement time expires.
To edit the duration of a postponed alert, choose Postponement
.
Choose Show Postponed
.
In the Postponed Alerts
window, select the postponed alert.
Edit the postponed alert.
To assign an alert group to a processor, select the alert group.
Choose Assign
.
In the Assign Alert Groups
window, assign the alert group to a processor.
Note
You can also assign an alert in the Alert Details
window.
To edit the details of an alert group, select the alert.
The alert groups in the alert are listed.
Select the alert group.
Choose Show Details
.
In the Alert Detail
window, edit the details of the alert group.
To view the details of the metric or event, select the metric or event.
To confirm an alert, select the alert.
Choose Confirm
.

You can confirm the alerts from the Alert Detail
widow as well.
In the Confirm Selected Alerts
popup, choose Ok
.
Once you choose Ok, the system confirms all the alerts of the same type related to a particular incident and clears the alert entry from the list.
To change the configuration of an alert, select the alert.
Choose Change Configuration
.
Note
You can change the configuration of the alert either at the managed object level or at the template level.
In the SAP Solution Manager
popup, choose the required option and change the configurations accordingly.
To change the configuration of a metric, select the metric.
Choose Change Configuration

In the Alert Details
popup, choose the required option and change the configurations accordingly.
To assign a guided procedure to an alert, select an alert.
Choose Assign Guided Procedure

Select the required guided procedure.
Note
Once you assign a guided procedure, an instance is created and assigned to the alert.
