You can generate table utilization statistics to get an overview of which tables in your system landscape are called and used most frequently.

Prerequisites

See the prerequisites described under Statistics and Trends.

Procedure

  1. Under Statistics and Trends, select a scenario or system in the table and choose Table Utilization Statistics.

  2. Specify the period you want to analyze and the frequency of the analysis.

  3. Specify the entities in your system landscape for which you want to perform the analysis.

  4. Select the information you want to display:

    • On the Products tab page, you can view a summary and history of your table utilization statistics.

    • On the other tab pages, you have the additional option to select the Top Accessed information.

  5. To refine the analysis, you can set various parameters.

  6. After you have made your selection, you have two options:

    • To check your entries, choose Check.

    • To display the results, choose Execute.

Result

The system displays a detailed overview of the table utilization statistics, consisting of the following information:

  • Graphical overview of the results

  • Key figures

    You can filter the results based on various key figures, such as Direct Reads, Total Requests, and so on.

  • Conditions

    You can define additional conditions that reduce the overall results to specific information. To do so, choose Create and make the following entries:

    1. Enter a name for the condition and specify whether the condition is active.

    2. Define the characteristics you want to apply for the condition.

    3. You can also refine the condition by specifying additional conditions with operators and the values you require.

    4. Confirm your entries.

      The condition appears as a new row in the table.

    5. You can activate or deactivate existing conditions within the table by choosing the status icon.

  • Navigation block

    You can filter the overall results based on specific characteristics and display the results in a table.
