Function documentationConfiguration in SAP Solution Manager Configuration


You make the settings for IT Service Management in SAP Solution Manager Configuration Work Center (transaction SOLMAN_SETUP). You access the IT Service Management scenario in a guided procedure to configure the functions step by step.


  • In the guided procedure, you perform the automatic and manual activities that are distributed among various steps and substeps. The guided procedure also helps you to perform the mandatory and optional activities in the required sequence.

    Note Note

    You must copy the transaction types delivered by SAP into the customer namespace as one of the first IT Service Management settings activities. For more information, see the documentation in SAP Solution Manager Configuration and the referenced report.

  • The IT Service Management scenario contains configuration settings that are not available in Customizing, for example, UI settings for IT Service Management.


  1. Call the SAP Solution Manager configuration in the transaction SOLMAN_SETUP.

  2. Choose IT Service Management.

  3. Perform the activities in the guided procedure.
