Before you release a test plan as test organizer, perform a user check. Only then release the test plan. This ensures that the correct tester and test organizer are stored in the business partner form in the procedure document, when using Workflow. Only then are the documents consistent and the email sent correctly.
The user check checks the following, depending on the client:
Is each business partner assigned a system user that is also assigned to the test package?
Is each system user used in the test case also assigned to the test package?
If the workflow is active, the system also checks:
Is there a business partner for each system user who is assigned to a test package of the test plan?
Is there a business partner for the test organizer?
Is there an email address for each system user and business partner?
Note
You can also check a selected test package or an entire test plan, from the editing of the test sequences and tester assignment. See Assigning Testers at Test Case Level for further information.
You have created a test plan with at least one test package, in the test plan management, and have assigned at least one tester to the test package. For more information, see Creating Test Plans, Creating Test Plans for Projects, and Assigning a Tester to a Test Package.
If you use the workflow, an email address is stored for each system user (tester and test organizer), in the user data.
