You configure alerts to have the system inform you of errors during job monitoring. You can receive alerts as incidents or notifications, and they are always also in your alert inbox.

The table below lists metrics and the supported job types. Detailed descriptions of all metrics are in the in-line quick help.

Metrics Related to Various Job Events

The diagram below shows the metrics related to various job events.

The job monitor monitors the start, the runtime and end of the job instance.

The monitor creates or sends updates of metrics, depending on the job status change (Planned > Active > Cancelled/Finished) or rating change due to metric threshold values.

The table below descries some parts of the job instance flow shown in the diagram.
