An automated test case is a test configuration which comprises a test script, a system data container and a test data container. To create an automated test case, you create a test configuration. A related test script is created at the same time, it must not be created separately. The test script can be edited in the next step.

When editing a test script, the interfaces of transactions or function modules are imported automatically from the SAP Solution Manager system landscape and displayed, if a system data container is assigned to the test case and if an SAP Solution Manager project or solution and a system role are assigned to the test case.

For more information, see Components of Automated Test Cases.
