Procedure documentationLocking and Unlocking Structure Nodes Locate this document in the navigation structure

You can lock those structure nodes for which you have completed the processing, in the project structure. You can, for example, prevent a project participant changing parts of the project structure later.

To protect data security and the integrity of the data, you can use a digital signature to identify the user who locked it.

Prerequisites

To link locking structure nodes with a digital signature, you have made the settings in SAP Solution Manager Customizing, under   SAP Solution Manager   Capabilities   Implementation/Upgrade   Blueprint and Configuration   Object Attributes   Assign a Signature Strategy to a Locked Project Structure  .

To use the digital signature to lock structure nodes, choose the Project Structure type.

Procedure

  • To lock a structure node, right-click it in the project structure and choose Lock Structure in the context menu.

The selected node and all its subnodes are then locked for editing. If, for example, you lock a scenario, its processes and process steps are locked.

    Note Note

If you lock a structure node, you can only not edit the structure. You can still edit its tabs.

    End of the note.
  • To unlock a structure node, right-click it in the project structure and choose Unlock in the context menu.
