By default, SAP Solution Manager downloads data from managed systems for monitoring or service at night. You can request the data from the managed systems manually, for example, if you have created a session and want to retrieve the data immediately or if the data was not downloaded automatically.
Note
You can determine whether the automatic data download from the managed systems has worked in the System Monitoring work center in the Reporting view. Choose the SAP EarlyWatch Alert report view and navigate to the relevant solution. Show the service quick info, or choose the service.
SAP has created a session for the customer, in a service plan. You want to know the customer session number for the SAP session number, e.g. if the automatic data download did not work.
To be able to download data from the managed systems with this function, ST-PI has the following version or higher in the managed systems:
ST-PI 2005_1_46C to <...>_640: SP6
ST-PI 2005_1_700: SP4
ST-PI 2005_1_710: SP2
Displaying data from the managed systems is independent of the ST-PI version in the managed systems.
