IT Service Management contains a dashboard which gives you an overview of message processing and change transactions. You can add and remove IT Service Management apps to and from the dashboard.

You can configure the apps delivered by SAP, in the configuration screen, with the role SAP_SM_DASHBOARDS_PROCESS, in the following ways:

  • You can set the app title.

  • You can specify the priorities, projects and transaction types on which the apps are based.

  • You can specify further details for apps, to configure them in more detail.

Procedure

To configure an IT Service Management app, call the IT Service Management dashboard, and go to the configuration mode (see Configuring Dashboards). You go to the configuration screen of the app, either by adding a new app to the dashboard, or by choosing Edit and Preview for an app.

  1. You go to the app configuration screen, in which you can make the following configuration settings:

    • Specify a title for the app.

      For workload: Specify the number of transaction types which are displayed in an app.

      For message quality: Specify the display threshold values: Specify until when a value is green, and when yellow. Values above the yellow threshold are red.

      Choose Set Filter.

    • You can specify the priority of the transactions on which the app is based, in the Priority tab.

      Select the priority, and choose Add.

      Choose Set Filter.

    • You can specify the transactions on which the app is based, in the Project tab.

      For message quality: Specify the status to be displayed in the dashboard app:

      • Filter IRT Status: Specify the status which determines when a message has exceeded the initial reaction time. This status is specified in the Solution Manager configuration.

      • Filter MPT Status: Specify the status which determines when a message has exceeded the maximum processing time. This status is specified in the Solution Manager configuration.

      • Filter Iteration Status: Specify the status for which you want to display the iteration count.

      Select the projects, and choose Add.

      Choose Set Filter.

    • You can specify the transaction types on which the app is based, in the Transaction Type tab.

      Select the transaction types, and choose Add.

      Choose Set Filter.

  2. To save your changes choose Apply.

  3. To save your changes permanently, choose Save Dashboard.
