You use the Decision Maker function to determine which objects consume the most data in your systems. You use the results of this analysis to rank and prioritize objects for Data Volume Management.

A Decision Maker run generates a ranked list of the objects that consume the most data in your systems. A guided procedure helps you to create a new run. You select the systems and applications to include and you define which key figures you want the analysis to consider. You either use SAP presets or define your own presets. For your own presets, you configure the weighting factor of the key figures to influence how the results are ranked.

The Analysis Administration screen area displays a log of Decision Maker runs. The Results Overview screen area displays the results of the selected run. The list is ranked according to the score of each database table. The score is a based on the overall size of the table and the weighting factors of the key figures used.

Fact sheets provide technical information about each table and statistical data about the data volume over a defined period.
