Working with the Change and Transport System Analysis result list

To access the CTS result list, click the Display Results activity in the Display phase of a Change and Transport Request project.

Specify the transport requests that you want to use.

The result list screen contains of the following areas:

  1. Navigation Menu

    The Navigation menu is represented by different folders (left hand side panel)

  2. Result List

    The Result List is the table in the main UI frame

  3. Menu Bar

    You use the menu bar (top of screen) to switch between the compressed and detailed views, and view results that are not included in the result list.

Navigation Menu

The navigation menu contains four views:

  1. Object View

    In the object view, you can select the objects by object type and then sort the objects that you want to analyze.

  2. Function View

    In the function view, you can view the results of the analysis activities associated with a CTS project.

  3. Severity

    In the severity view, you can view the objects that have a particular severity. For example, you can view all objects that have the severity Red.

  4. Processing Status

    The processing status view allows you to view the status of the objects. For example, you can view the objects that are only present in the analysis system, or the objects that have different versions in the analysis and target systems. The different status types are:

    • Only in analysis system

    • Only in target system

    • Different version

    • Same version

    • Not Supported

    • Not in both systems

Example Example

In the navigation menu, you choose All Objects from the Object View folder. The system displays a result list of all objects. The default view is the compressed view. To view additional information for these objects, you choose Detailed View.

Compressed View

The Compressed View includes the following columns:

Source system ID

Request/Task

The request or task number considered for the analysis

Program ID

Program ID of the object

Object Type

The object type

Object Name

The name of the object

Request Task Type

The request type, for example workbench, Customizing, or development

Request Task Status

The status of the request, for example modifiable or released

Transport Target

The transport target of the request

Category

Request or task category

Owner

Owner of the request

Detailed View

The Detailed View includes the following columns:

Last Changed on

Last changed date of the request or task

Last Changed at

Last changed time of the request or task

Higher-Level Request

The transport request that the task is assigned to

Namespace

The namespace of the object. This can be either a customer namespace, or an SAP namespace (C/S)

Object Used in Analysis System

Usage information of the object in the analysis system. The value N in this column indicates that the usage information is not determined for this object type (not supported).

Object Used in Statistics System

Usage information of the object in the statistics system. The value N in this column indicates that the usage information is not determined for this object type (not supported)

Remote Comparison Severity

The comparison result of the object between analysis and target system. A grey light indicates that a remote comparison is not supported for this object type.

Remote Comparison Status

The remote comparison status of the object

Severity View

The Severity View includes the following columns:

Analysis Flag

The analysis type, that is a Remote Comparison or an Environment Analysis (R/E)

Reference Object Type

The type of reference object

Reference Object Name

The name of the reference object

Environment Analysis not Supported

Indicates whether the object is supported for an environment analysis or not. A flag ‘X’ in this field indicates that the object is not supported for environment analysis

Severity

The severity of the object

Target System

The name of the target system
