Procedure documentationAssigning a Monitoring Team Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

To configure a solution support organization, you define various monitoring teams with the respective monitoring roles. You use monitoring teams when you define or document monitoring activities (escalation paths and error handling procedures for the respective monitoring objects).

Prerequisites

You have called the Business Process Operations work center.

Procedure

  1. To maintain contact persons, do the following:

    1. To go to the Solution Directory, choose Maintain Solution.

    2. Select the solution.

    3. Choose the Contact pushbutton.

    4. Follow the instructions displayed in the upper frame of the screen.

  2. To create a monitoring team composed of contact persons, do the following:

    1. Choose Set up Business Process Monitoring.

    2. In the Context Navigation, expand the solution node.

    3. Under Cross Functions, choose the Monitoring Teams node.

    4. To add a team member, on the Team Members tab page, choose Add and select a user.

    5. Optional: On the Monitoring Roles tab page, you can assign a role to the team.

    6. Save your entries.

  3. To assign the monitoring team to the monitoring object, do the following:

    1. In the Context Navigation, drill down to and select the business process step.

    2. Choose the monitoring object.

    3. On the Monitoring Team tab page, assign the monitoring team.

    4. Save your entries.
