You can export the data that you record in this application to a BW system and use it to create your own reports on your custom developments. For example, you can create reports on all custom developments for a specific owner or contract.

In the Reports view, you can add new reports and specify the required information for them. You can also open, change, and delete existing reports (BW templates).

Prerequisites

  • You have the relevant authorizations for this application.

  • You are authorized to display and create a report.

  • You have configured a BW system and all the required settings. This includes processes to:

    • Set up the BW system

    • Configure communication between the BW system and SAP Solution Manager

    • Activate the BI Content

    • Edit Web templates

    • Specify data extraction from the SAP Solution Manager system

Procedure

Display Reports
  • Select a report.

    The report is displayed in a browser window.

Add a New Report
  1. Choose Add.

    A dialog box appears.

  2. Enter data as required. Required fields are denoted by an asterisk (*).

    • The Basic Information tab page contains the following input fields, for example:

      • Template ID: Enter the ID of an existing template. The ID of a standard template, for example, is 0SM_CCL_USAGE_REP.

    • Variables tab page

      Variables are predefined selection criteria for queries.

      Enter values for at least Parameter ID and Value to add the parameter to the query as a variable.

      Select the Dynamic checkbox so you can choose the Assign Function pushbutton to select a function that sets the value. You can create functions as part of the Customizing project.

    • Filters tab page

      Filters are freely-definable selection criteria. Create filters to restrict your queries.

      The tab page contains the following input fields, for example:

      • Sign: Specify whether you want to include or exclude the filter criteria in your report.

      • Operator: Select the relevant operator.

      • Low and High: Enter the extreme values for the filter.

    • Text Parameters tab page:

      A BW template contains elements such as tables or diagrams. Specify the labeling for these elements, using the following input fields, for example:

      • Language: Select the language for which you want to create the label. Users who log on in this language see what you enter in this language.

      • Web Item: Choose an existing Web item. The Web item is defined in the template.

      Example Example

      You choose the language German, the text type Title, and the Web ID of a table. You enter German - Title in the Text field, and choose Add. You choose the language English, the text type Title, and the Web ID. You enter English - Title in the Text field, and choose Add.

      Users who log on in German, see the text German - Title above the table in the BW report. Users who log on in English, see the text English - Title above the table in the BW report.

      End of the example.
    • User Authorization tab page:

      Specify the names of the users that are permitted to use the BW report in the Business Process Operations work center.

      If all users with the relevant authorization are permitted to access the BW report, leave the field empty.

  3. Save your entries.

Change a Report
  1. Select a report and choose Change.

    A dialog box appears.

  2. Enter data as required.

  3. Save your entries.

    The report has been changed.

Delete a Report
  1. Select a report and choose Delete.

    A dialog box appears.

  2. Select Yes.

    The report has been deleted.
