This example shows how to set typical filters.

Procedure

  1. To restrict monitoring by regions (e.g. America, EMEA, Asia), create a regular filter with the System ID (SMD_LSID) criterion.

  2. You can use the same analytic key figure in various solutions. To avoid collecting duplicate data, only collect data for a specified solution (exception: cross-solution reporting). Create a regular filter with the criterion Solution Monitoring ID (SM_SOLUT).

  3. To only display data for the previous day or week:

    1. To monitor the number measured for throughput key figures (e.g. number of deliveries created) for the previous day, create a relative filter for the time attribute CALDAY, with the value -1 in the field Low.

      Analogously: To see the number of deliveries created in the previous week, create a relative filter for the time attribute CALWEEK, and the value -1 in the field Low.

    2. To see the currently measured value of backlog key figures (e.g. the current number of overdue deliveries), create a relative filter with the value -1 in the field Low.

      Note Note

      If the monitor objects are set up so that the collectors do not collect data daily (e.g. only on working days), choose a longer time period. This ensures that data is collected at least once in the specified period. For example, in the field Low, the value -7, and in the field High, the value -1.

    3. Optional: If you use the diagram type Rating Table, you must specify threshold values for it.

      Example Example

      To optimize dunning, you want to display traffic light symbols to indicate whether the number of deliveries with overdue invoices has specified values in sales organizations in locations. You have created an instance of the key figure Deliveries with Overdue Invoices.
