You can perform status analyses for one test plan or several test plans. The status of one test plan is usually the result of a test. The status analysis of several test plans combines the results of the analyses of the test plans, so that it is the result of a complex test comprising several test plans.

Procedure

Status Analyses for One Test Plan
  1. Start the Test Plan Management.

  2. Choose a test plan. Use the input help, or choose a test plan from your favorites.

  3. To start the status overview, choose   Goto   Status Overview  .

  4. Choose the object, depending on whether you want to analyze the status of a single test package or the entire test plan.

  5. Use the Status Analysis button to start the status analysis.

An overview of the test progress is displayed. The left-hand column contains information about the process structure, and the right-hand column contains the status of the test cases.

    Note Note

If a test case was assigned to several test packages, it is only displayed once at first. The worst status is displayed as the status. For more information about this worst case principle, see SAP Note 1065063.

    End of the note.
  6. To display the status information of the test cases in the individual test packages, choose   Tabular Display   Test Plan and Test Package

Status Analysis of Several Test Plans
  1. Start the Status Info System.

  2. Enter the required data in the selection screen.

    Note Note

The Test Sequence field is an easy way of restricting your selection. You can use a test sequence to combine several test plans for the status analysis. To do so, you must enter a name in the Test Sequence field, in the test plan attributes. See Edit Test Plan Attributes.

    End of the note.
  3. Choose Execute.

A list of selected test plans and summary status information is displayed.

  4. To see detailed status information for a test plan, select it and choose Status Analysis.

Result

An up-to-date analysis of the status of all test packages in the selected test plan is created.

You can further analyze the list using the general list functions. You can, for example:

  • Pass the data to a spreadsheet program

  • Export the data to a text processing program

  • Display the results graphically

Note Note

In the status info system you can also display a message overview for test plans.

End of the note.
