You can reduce recurring test planning activity work by recycling similar or identical test content. Using templates is a common practice at project level. You can use it for test plans as follows:

  1. You take over the structure and content of a template project in your implementation projects.

  2. You create a template test plan on the basis of the template project.

  3. You take over the structure and content of a template test plan in your implementation projects.

    Here you can decide what you would like to copy:

    • Test packages

    • Tester assignments

    • Test sequences

  4. The system references every test plan created on the basis of a template test plan to the corresponding implementation project.
