You can assign substitutes to support staff:

  • You can, for example, specify other employees as your vacation substitute.

  • You can specify yourself as the substitute of another (for example, ill) employee.


  • The administrator has given you authorization to assign substitutes.

  • The administrator has assigned the employee and his or her possible substitute, to the same organizational unit.


  1. Under Common Tasks, choose My Substitutes.

    You go to the Substitutes dialog box.

  2. Choose the business partner who is to be your substitute, or for whom you are to be the substitute, from the possible entries help.

    Note Note

    The possible entries help only shows employees in your organizational unit.

  3. Choose the period for which the substitute relationship is to apply.

  4. Choose Add, to confirm your entries.

  5. Save your entries.

    All support messages which are assigned to the substituted support employee, appear in the message list of the substitute, during the specified period.
