You want to assign business functions or business function sets to the logical components in your project or solution, or change the existing assignment, to ensure the scope is consistent.

The sum of the business functions flagged as In Scope in all projects or solutions in which you use a logical component must be consistent.

Prerequisites

  • You are on the Business Function Scope screen.

  • Go to change mode.

Procedure

Select Business Function Set
  1. To add a business function set or change an existing assignment, select a logical component, and choose   Assign   Business Function Set  .

  2. Choose a business function set from the input help.

  3. Save your entries.

  4. Choose Refresh to update the overview and the Switch Framework system data.

To delete the assignment of a business function set, select its logical components, and choose   Remove   Business Function Set  .

  1. To add business functions, select a logical component, and choose   Assign   Business Function  .

  2. Choose business functions from the input help.

  3. Save your entries.

  4. Choose Refresh to update the overview and the Switch Framework system data.

To remove a business function from the project scope, reset the flag in the In Scope column. The business function is no longer included in the consistency check, or when the project scope is copied to the Switch Framework for subsequent activation.

To delete the assignment of a business function , select its logical components, and choose   Remove   Business Function  .

Scope Consistency Check

Before activating business functions in the Switch Framework, check whether the business function selection is consistent, as follows: To check all logical components, choose Check.

The system lists messages. Resolve the causes of the error messages.

Result

The business function scope is consistent for a logical component. You can activate the business function scope.
