A dashboard is available to manage all custom developments of an existing IT system landscape, using a model that visualizes such analyzed data as programs, reports or transactions. Using the apps in this dashboard, you can do the following:
Evaluate your custom code footprint, that is, measure and evaluate all custom enhancements and developments in your system landscape
Optimize the quality of your custom code objects, enabling you to measure the success of your custom developments
Configure extractors to get information from managed systems for these objects, as well as prepare this data for BW extraction in order to get full transparency for all custom code objects
Ultimately, determine exactly how much custom code is being used or impacted in specific ways, and get information on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
All Custom Code apps are based on SAP Custom Code Lifecycle Management (CCLM). In order to display the data, the prerequisites are that you must first implement CCLM and activate the respective InfoCubes in BW.
Note
You can get more information on the KPI evaluation of the Custom Code Footprint under Working with the Continuous Improvement App.
The apps are described individually in Custom Code Management Apps.
There are different views to display the dashboard data:
Overview of all unused custom code objects with a gauge display
Detail data with specifics of the custom code objects, classified per object type
Historical data in weekly or monthly display form
When you call the dashboard, all of the dashboard apps are initially minimized. To display an app full-screen, double-click it.
All five apps are based on SAP Custom Code Lifecycle Management (CCLM). In order to display the data, the prerequisites are that you must first implement CCLM and activate the respective InfoCubes in BW.
