Translating Certificate Types
When purchasers create certificate types, they always create them in the original language. To enable suppliers to see certificate type descriptions in several languages on the sell side of SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management, you can translate certificate types.
At least one translation language must have been defined in the certificate type that you want to translate. The language must have a status other than “not relevant for translation”.
To translate certificate types, do the following:
Choose .
To translate a certificate type, select it from the personal object worklist (POWL). To find those certificate types that you have to translate more easily, click Show Quick Criteria Maintenance
and filter the list by the status To Be Translated
.
Select the target language into which you want to translate the certificate type.
Change the status for the target language from To Be Translated
to In Translation
.
Note that the Status of All Translations
remains To Be Translated
or In Translation
until translations for all target languages are available.
Translate the certificate type description and the corresponding explanation.
When you have finished, set the status for your target language to Translated
.
Note
You can enter text in the Internal Note
to communicate with the person who created the certificate type. If the Internal Note
already contains text, SAP recommends that you do not overwrite this text but add your text to the note. The system does not store previous versions of a note.
