Spare Parts Procurement

Spare parts clerks can use the functions in spare parts procurement for managing spare parts, including:

Creating orders for new spare parts
Returning parts that are no longer needed to the importer
Tracking current orders

Prerequisites

You have defined an RFC destination in the back-end system so that the dealer portal can communicate with the back-end system.

To enable and monitor access to the dealer portal, you have made the following assignments for spare parts procurement. In the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution Automotive Dealer Portal: Spare Parts Procurement General Settings End of the navigation path :

Definition of logical systems and assignment to back-end system (transaction DPCOMMON_MAP_S_R)
In this step you define a logical system and assign it to a back-end system. You can assign the back-end system to the local system or to an RFC destination.
Assignment of partners to systems (transaction DPCOMMON_MAP_P_S)
In this step you assign the partner (dealer) that you created as a customer in the back-end system to a logical system.
Assignment of users to partners (dealers) (transaction DPCOMMON_MAP_U_P)
In this step you assign users that you created in the back-end system to one or more partners (dealers).

For many Customizing settings, you can use Switch BC Sets that contain the system settings required for spare parts procurement in the dealer portal. You can tailor these settings to meet your requirements in Customizing for the Dealer Portal: Spare Parts Procurement under Sales and Distribution.

You have assigned the SAP_COCKPIT_DPSPP role to authorized users (such as spare parts clerks) in the back-end system (transaction PFCG). This role contains a user menu for spare parts procurement that is available in the dealer portal to users who have been assigned to this role.
