 Changing Policy Products

Prerequisites

The policy product that you want to change already exists. For more information, see Creating Policy Products .

Procedure

  1. Start of the navigation path In the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP Insurance, choose Claims Management Next navigation step Claim Next navigation step Product Configuration Next navigation step Configure Policy Products. End of the navigation path

  2. Select the policy product that you want to change.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path Policy Product Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path

  4. You can make the following changes:

    Change to current version

    With this option you can change the currently active version of the currently active generation. You use this option if the Claims Management system is not yet live, and you are only creating and testing initial customizing settings.

    Immediate change per claim date

    With this option you can change the policy product (or the internal claim type) for new claims from a specific claim date/timeonwards. The system uses this claim date/time during activation. The time of the activation is taken.

    Changes made using this option are not affected by any renewals of the contract.

    Delayed changes per claim date

    With this option you can change the policy product (or the internal claim type) from a specific claim time onwards for new claims. The system interprets the time entered according to the time zone stored in the user defaults and converts it to UTC.

    Changes made using this option are not affected by any renewals of the contract.

    Immediate change with contract renewal

    With this option you can change the policy product (or the internal claim type) from a specific time onwards with renewal of the contract for new claims. This date/time is entered automatically by the system when you activate. The time of the activation is taken.

    The system creates a new generation of the product (or the internal claim type) with a new version.

    Delayed change with contract renewal

    With this option you can change the policy product (or the internal claim type) from a specific time onwards with renewal of the contract for new claims. The system interprets the date you have entered according to the time zone defined in your user defaults, and converts this to UTC.

    The system creates a new generation of the policy product (or the internal claim type) with a new version.

  5. Save your entries.

  6. Activate the policy product .
