  Logical Linking of Search Hitlists

Use

In searches with the search category Search Sequences , you can link the individual searches logically with one another and thus influence the total hits of the search sequence.

You make settings for this logical link in Claims Management customizing under Start of the navigation path Claim Next navigation step Technical Settings Next navigation step Claim Search Next navigation step Search Framework Next navigation step Configure Search. End of the navigation path At the Search Sequence level you define the comparison fields for linking the hit lists, and at the Search of a Search Sequence level you define the logical linking operation .

Integration

Logical linking of hit lists is only relevant in connection with search sequences.

Features

The search framework supports the following logical linking operations:

  • Replacement:

The new hit list replaces the old one

  • “or” linking

Corresponds to the union of the hit lists.

  • “and“ linking

Corresponds to the intersection of the hit lists.

  • Difference quantity, old

All hits of the old hit list that are not contained in the new hit list.

  • Difference quantity, new

All hits of the new hit list that were not contained in the old hit list.

The hit lists are compared on the basis of comparison fields that you specified in IMG activity Configure Search . These comparison fields must be in all hit lists of a search sequence.
