Logical linking of hit lists is only relevant in connection with search sequences.
The search framework supports the following logical linking operations:
Replacement:
The new hit list replaces the old one
“or” linking
Corresponds to the union of the hit lists.
“and“ linking
Corresponds to the intersection of the hit lists.
Difference quantity, old
All hits of the old hit list that are not contained in the new hit list.
Difference quantity, new
All hits of the new hit list that were not contained in the old hit list.
The hit lists are compared on the basis of comparison fields that you specified in IMG activity

. These comparison fields must be in all hit lists of a search sequence.
