With this product feature you can implement and apply individual characteristics for lot-based futures and listed options in Commodity Risk Management.

Free Characteristics for Lot-Based Futures and Listed Options

For lot-based futures and listed options you can specify whether and which free characteristics are considered in the respective financial objects. For each financial transaction with transaction category OPEN, you can manually enter and overwrite the characteristic values on the Analyze Parameters tab (transactions FTR_CREATE and FTR_EDIT). Free characteristic values are also shown in the raw exposures (transaction FTREX1).

We recommend that you only use source fields that are also input fields in the financial transactions. All other source fields remain empty and are not considered during the derivation of the target fields.

Append Free Characteristics to Database Structures

To automatically add the structures for the free characteristics to the relevant database tables and database structures, a Customizing activity is now available.

Note: To use the free characteristics entered in Logistics, you must have activated the business functions LOG_MM_COMMODITY_04 and LOG_SD_COMMODITY_04. If activated, we strongly recommend that you use the Customizing activity Add Free Characteristics to Structures CMM_FCHAR_GENERATE in Logistics instead of the Customizing activity in Treasury and Risk Management.
