Configure Policy Products

The following functions are available for processing policy products: First of all, always mark the relevant policy product and then execute the corresponding function.

You can view a version of the policy product. By default, the currently valid version of the policy product is displayed (in other words, renewal date of contract = now, claim date = now). But you can choose any other generation or version for display. |

You can return to a previous version of the policy product.
Use this function if there are no suspense entries. If you wish to return from the current suspense version to a previously active version, use the function

You can manually trigger the checks that are performed automatically before the policy product is activated |

Activate policy product |
Before you can use a policy product in the application, you have to activate it. You can activate suspense entries or imported transport entries for the selected policy products. If the system has been configured accordingly, transport entries will also be created. After successful activation, the suspense entries are deleted. |

Transport policy products |
You can produce transport entries for the currently active generations and versions of the selected policy products. |

Deactivate policy products |
You can deactivate a policy product for a period. If you deactivate a policy product for all periods (in other words, for all combinations of renewal dates of the contract and loss/claim date), then this policy product is deleted for all future periods. The most common use of this function is to deactivate a policy product as from a particular date because it is no longer valid. By default the last policy product is valid for an unlimited period, to enable creation of claims. |

Complete data for policy product |
The policy product contains fields that the user does not see and that are filled automatically by the system. We recommend that you execute this function in an upgrade or with a support package. This then ensures that all fields (including those that are not visible) are filled correctly. |
